Some Ghost Gaming players have already participated in ESL Impact, the tournament organiser’s Counter-Strike league for women and other marginalised genders. Established in 2022, the qualifiers for Season 7 will kick off on February 4th.
However, Ghost Gaming has yet to share details regarding the tournament participation of its CS2 team.
Founded in 2016, Ghost Gaming competes in Fortnite, Rocket League, VALORANT and Call of Duty. The Atlanta-based esports organisation fielded a tier-one CS:GO team between 2017 and 2019, featuring the likes of Matthew ‘Wardell‘ Yu and Yassine’ Subroza’ Taoufik.
Among their biggest achievements were winning the ZOTAC Cup Masters 2018 – Americas and the WESG 2018 Canada. Furthermore, the squad participated in several seasons of the ESL Pro League, but never managed to take home a tier-one trophy.
Ghost Gaming has invested in women’s esports and gaming in the past. The company has dedicated social media accounts highlighting its women members, called Ghost Girls. Moreover, the organisation partnered with BroadcastHER Academy in 2024, an esports and gaming fellowship programme for women.
Women’s esports continues to gain public interest in 2025. As Imperial FE became the first women’s team to qualify for IEM Katowice, VALORANT Game Changers squad Shopify Rebellion made history with its Challengers qualification.
