Want to get out of the Volcanic Vents? Then you might need a particular item to round out your sub upgrades. That’s what we’re here to talk about in our Fisch Inferno Hide guide.
You can try out Fisch now on Roblox. If you want to find out how to get started and work down to that level, maybe check out our Fisch drill guide for advice on how to build the submarine.

First we’ll talk about what the item is, then explain how to get hold of one.
About The Inferno Hide
The Inferno Hide is an item used for crafting. Not the Ancient Isles rod crafting mechanic, but something a bit more specific. You need Inferno Hide, along with a Lava Crystal and two different kinds of Volcanic Vent fish to craft the heat shield upgrade to the sub, and get the heat-resistant suit that should protect you from the higher temperatures in the Volcanic Vents area.
How To Get The Inferno Hide
The name and appearance are a bit confusing, but you can treat the Inferno Hide like a fish, unlike the Lava Crystal. You can find it in the large lava pool in Volcanic Vents, where you catch the different fish in its bestiary.
In order to reach this area, you’ll need to navigate the magma-filled tunnels, with a few dangerous jumps. Falling into the small lava rivers will give the Burning effect, which slowly depletes your health for a few seconds.
When the area opens up to a lava lake, you can start fishing. The good news is you don’t need to use the Magma Rod like you do in Roslit Volcano. We were able to fish with a normal rod without any special enchants that allow lava fishing. Just don’t get too relaxed, it still counts as dying if you fall in!
The Inferno Hide has no preferred conditions or preferred bait. Just keep fishing until you get one… and don’t forget to take breaks from the Volcanic Vents, getting too warm isn’t good either. We just set our spawn there, leave the game, then return from time to time.
Top Tip: If you’re struggling to find one of these, try switching to a lower-tier fishing rod, or trying the garbage bait. This should attract more common-rarity fish, which includes the Inferno Hide.
