A monster of the deep is loose in the seas around the Ancient Isles, but you’ll need to be quick to catch it! That’s what our Fisch Megalodon guide is all about, hopefully helping you land one of these giants.
Fisch is out on Roblox, and just got a new update. If you’d like to hear about all that’s in it, maybe check out out Fisch update guide while you’re here.
Fisch Megalodon Guide
Time to talk sharks. Big sharks.
About The Megalodon
The Megalodon is a new Shark Hunt, as well as a new addition to the much sought-after Exotic rarity. You’ll also need one of these to complete the Ancient Isles Bestiary, so be ready for a bit of a challenge.
How To Catch The Megalodon
The Megalodon is caught in a Shark Hunt event. If you’ve not run into these before, let’s run over them. In Shark Hunts, a shark fish appears, swimming in a circle somewhere on the map. Fishers can catch it by fishing in the area, though only one will get the shark.
The Megalodon ups the difficulty a bit more. When we tried it, we got a notification that one had appeared in the Ancient Isles, but unlike other sharks, there was no HUD marker. Even harder, the Megalodon despawns after a few minutes, so it’s possible for no-one to catch it!
Keep in mind that Megalodon are BIG, often over 5000kg and sometimes over 10000kg, so you need a heavy weight rod to handle one, the Steady Rod at the very least.
Megalodon Variants
Along with the regular giant shark, here are two extra variants of the Megalodon, with different conditions in which they spawn. These are even rarer than the default Megalodon, so have the maximum bragging rights available.
- Phantom Megalodon – This ghostly shark with skeletal accents appears only during weekends and during eclipses.
- Ancient Megalodon – This red-eyed monster is the result of exceptional luck. It has a higher chance to appear during the Aurora Borealis event.
