FDG Entertainment and Cornfox & Bros. have announced a new game Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon. It’s set 200 years after the events of Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm. Bringing a fresh spin to the series, it’s set to land on Android, iOS and PC via Steam sometime in Q2 2025.
What’s the Story in New Game Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon?
This time, it’s not about sailing the seas. Instead, it’s about braving the depths of a dangerous underground labyrinth. You’ll be diving deep into a dungeon crawler with a retro vibe.
The world of Gaia is in rough shape. The once-great Kingdom of Arcadia is now just a scattered mess of islands, and the legendary White City is nothing but a memory.
But four adventurers aren’t ready to accept that fate. They’ve set their sights on the Chronos Dungeon. It’s a mysterious underground complex rumoured to hold the Paradigm Hourglass.
Paradigm Hourglass is an artefact with the power to change history itself. If they can survive what lurks inside, they just might be able to restore the world to its former glory.
That’s the story. The devs have dropped an announcement trailer for Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon. Check it out right here.
What About the Features?
Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon is going to stick to a classic dungeon crawler setup with a strong 16-bit arcade vibe. It’s built for couch co-op, letting up to four players team up for some side-by-side action.
If you don’t have a full squad, you can take control of all four heroes yourself or swap between them as needed. And there are plenty of challenges in the game.
The heroes start with different stats every time, influenced by their zodiac signs. That makes no two playthroughs exactly the same. The four playable characters are Knight, Huntress, Grandmaster, and Mage.
Apart from the nostalgic 16-bit and pixel art visuals, the game has a chiptune-inspired soundtrack and plenty of old-school arcade features.
Right now, the Steam page is live and you can check it out for more details on FDG’s new game Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon.
