Newly appointed Falcons head coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen says he wants to steer the team to their very first Major triumph

Danny “zonic” Sørensen has expressed his ambitious goal of clinching a Major title with the Falcons. The former Vitality boss recently assumed the position of head coach for the team and aims to lead them to victory on the grand stage of a Major tournament.

The Saudi Arabian organization officially welcomed coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen and sports psychologist Lars Robl to the squad yesterday. These two pros are joining the Falcons after an impressive run with Vitality, where they clinched the BLAST.tv Paris Major title.

Zonic joined the French organization at the beginning of 2022, and he’s widely recognized as one of the top CSGO coaches, if not the absolute best. He’s got an impressive track record, leading Astralis to four Major titles, and then he worked his magic with Vitality to help them secure their Paris Major glory on home soil.

The official announcement, which was basically an open secret in the Counter-Strike community, marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the Falcons. The Saudi organization is making big moves, not only with zonic and Lars Robl but also by bringing in Vitality’s sharpshooter, Emil “Magisk” Reif. The future looks bright for the organization at this moment.

Zonic Expresses Major Ambitions as Falcons Coach

Zonic shared his thoughts with Falcons fans in a video message, which was posted on the team’s official social media channels. He outlined his vision for the team and his objectives moving forward.

“What I really liked and loved about Falcons was that the first talks we had was more about ‘we trust you guys. We trust you and Lars. We want you guys to set the team. You have full freedom to do what you want. How you want to implement things to help build the team up, to become a top 3/ top 5 team in the world, maybe win a Major,’” the Danish coach revealed.

“My goal and my ambition coming to Falcons is to win Majors,” he continued. “First and foremost, what I fell in love with Falcons is the level of trust..that people have seen my results together with Lars and…challenge myself again.”

Zonic also dismissed the claims that he joined Falcons for more money.

“I’m not joining Falcons for the money. I will say if I had stayed in Vitality at the level that we had, we probably would’ve made more money in the beginning with Vitality. But, of course, if we succeed with Falcons, and if we win a Major, yes, of course, there is a high bonus. But it requires hard work and it requires that we create a team that is consistently on the top”
