Zelda: TOTK player remakes an entire Godzilla movie with Zonai devices

The Legend of Zelda has gotten another (and unofficial) Divine Beast: Godzilla.

A crafty The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom player created a mechanized Godzilla using Zonai devices. The build is a site to behold, but the player didn’t stop there. Instead of just flexing this incredible behemoth, they went and recreated an entire Godzilla movie in the world of the game.

Sumoguri2323 posted the full video on X. formerly known as Twitter. It runs just over a minute and a half long and recreates the short film Godzilla Appears at Godzilla Fest. The film doesn’t do a complete one-to-one remake but rather reimagines the film in the world of Tears of the Kingdom. Instead of wreaking havoc on a city, Godzilla unleashes its fury upon the unsuspecting residents of Lurelin Village. The creator even took the time to re-create specific camera shots from the original film.

Nintendo released Tears of the Kingdom in May 2023. Since then, players have been finding new ways to build impressive wonders. Whether this includes simple bridges, nifty skateboards, or complicated war machines, players keep finding new ways to push the limits of the game.

The best part? This particular monstrosity has come just in time for the U.S. theatrical release of Godzilla Minus One. It’s Japan’s first live-action Godzilla film since Shin Godzilla and released to theaters stateside on Friday.
