Don’t count out Cities Skylines 2 – not yet. While Colossal Order’s sequel hasn’t entirely met the expectations of players, especially after the gigantic success of the original game, it remains a full, complex, and promising city builder, and it’s getting better with each new update. The CS series recently hit its tenth anniversary, marked by a big overhaul to some of Cities Skylines 2’s key features. Now, if you want to finally try the municipal strategy game for yourself – and see how it stacks up compared to the likes of Manor Lords and Frostpunk – Cities Skylines 2 and its latest DLC are both available at a solid discount.
The road-building tools are more expansive and intuitive. Traffic, production lines, and other key parts of the simulation are more sophisticated. You finally have roundabouts, and in Cities Skylines 2, it’s much easier to set up water and power grids.
Cities Skylines 2 makes a lot of improvements over Colossal Order’s 2015 city-building game, and especially now, some 18 months since launch, it’s certainly worth a try – even if you were put off by the initial reviews. The big update from earlier in March marks another step in the game’s comeback. Now, you can get both the base version and a bundle of new DLC for cheap.
On Steam, the cheapest Cities Skylines 2 has ever been is $39.99 / £33.59. However, over on Fanatical, you can get the base game right now for $36.49 / £30.65. Alongside that, the Leisure and Legacy bundle, which contains three creator packs and three additional radio stations, is available for $24.99 / £20.99.
But you can save 15% on the bundle if you use the voucher code FANATICAL15. That means you can get both the main version of CS2 and the collection of new DLC for cheaper at Fanatical. Just hit the button below.
Otherwise, try some of the best strategy games, or maybe the best RTS games available on PC.
