SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have released some new details on Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut, revealing the game will boast 26 minutes of extra cutscenes to supplement the already-meaty narrative of the original 2017 release. As previously reported, Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut was announced during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct event on Wednesday, and is a launch game for the new system. While it was originally believed to be exclusive to Switch 2, it has since been clarified that Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut is a timed-exclusive, so it will presumably come to PS5 & PS4 at a later date.A famitsu interview with producer Makoto Suzuki also revealed that Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut will run at 4K resolution iN TV mode for the Switch 2, so we can assume that a potential PS5 version will have no problems matching that alongside a smooth 60 FPS, which Suzuki-san says the team is aiming for.
