The Redmi K70 series was unveiled at the end of November 2023 with the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro. However, the series has not welcomed its ultimate member yet – the Redmi K70 Ultra will be unveiled tomorrow, July 19. And now Xiaomi reveals that it will have a special edition too.

Redmi K70 Ultra Championship Edition

The Redmi K70 Ultra Championship Edition was designed in collaboration with Lamborghini. It looks like there are two color options: green and (of course) yellow. The styling is inspired by the Huracán Super Trofeo EVO2. This car was designed and built for the international Lamborghini Super Trofeo racing series.

The design of the car is all angles and carbon fiber and Xiaomi carried that over to the phone. It even has an overly elaborate name – Automobili Lamborghini Squadra Corse – but we’ll stick with Championship Edition.

Xiaomi has already revealed details about the regular Redmi K70 Ultra. It will be powered by the Dimensity 9300+ with a 3D heat dissipation system. The 120Hz display uses DC dimming down to 60 nits and switches over to 3,840Hz PWM dimming below that. It’s a 1220p+ panel. The phone will be rated IP68 for dust and water resistance.

Going back to November 2023, Xiaomi collaborated with Lamborghini for a special edition of the Redmi K70 Pro, that one was styled after the Essenza SCV12 track-only hypercar.

Anyway, the Redmi K70 Ultra and the K70 Ultra Championship Edition will be fully revealed tomorrow. If history is any indication, we might have to wait a few months before the Lamborghini-inspired model becomes available, though.

Will this ever be seen on international markets? The K70 Ultra might be. The vanilla K70 is quite similar to the Poco F6 Pro. We’ve also heard rumors that the K70 Ultra might launch as the Xiaomi 14T Pro (the 13T Pro was based on the K60 Ultra).
