Microsoft has announced that there will be a second Xbox Games Showcase, airing just two days after the main showcase taking place on June 12. Xbox Games Showcase Extended will take place on June 14, starting at 10am PT. A new post on the Xbox Wire blog promises new trailers, deeper looks at the news revealed as part of the main Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, and interviews with developers. The show will clock in at 90 minutes, and so there’s another hour and a half to add to your not-E3 calendar. As ever, IGN will be covering it all, so expect full details right here for both the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase 2022 and the newly-announced extended show. This will be the second year in a row that Xbox has done an extended showcase; last year, just days after the main showcase, Xbox showed more from Hellblade 2, Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, and many more. If this year’s extended showcase is just as packed, then we could have some exciting extra news on our hands. For everything else across this period, check out our Summer of Gaming 2022 schedule, which will help you keep on track over the next couple of weeks. There’s 13 shows still to come, so there’s surely plenty of announcements on the way. Matt Purslow is IGN’s UK News and Features Editor.
