Take-Two’s latest financial report has again reconfirmed that we’ll be collecting the Grand Theft Auto 6 achievements in fall 2025. The company’s CEO Strauss Zelnick also mentioned that Xbox Series S performance isn’t a concern for GTA 6 when asked if the console could be a potential issue for the upcoming open-world Xbox game. Take-Two’s CEO isn’t “really worried” about GTA 6’s performance on Xbox Series S”We support the platforms where the consumers are for as long as they’re there, and we find a way to support platforms despite different levels of tech,” Zelnick replied during the earnings call. Our labels are really good at that. I’m not really worried.”I’ve never worried about where hardware was going. And I’ve said this many times over the years because, first of all, I don’t worry about things over which I have zero control. And secondly, because I do believe in the audience. The audience is going to show up if you have great properties, and so we just have to make sure to be on an array of platforms.”The Xbox Series S has been the center of various controversies in recent years due to its lower performance compared to the Xbox Series X and PS5. While many developers have seemingly been fine creating games for the console, others have had a tough time. Larian Studios had to remove split-screen from the Xbox Series S version of Baldur’s Gate 3 just to launch the fantastic RPG on Xbox, while another developer referred to the console as an “albatross around the neck of production.” In other Xbox Series S news, GSC Game World’s upcoming Xbox console exclusive Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl runs at 35fps on the console, with “a lot of space for optimization.”
