Players who have explored a galaxy far away for the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor achievements will likely be familiar with the game’s performance troubles. Despite that, Respawn has decided to bring the game to last-gen consoles, announcing that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is coming to Xbox One on September 17. We said that due to its “excellent combat to the detailed worlds to explore, Survivor is a worthy sequel” in our Star Wars Jedi: Survivor impressions. While its gameplay is nothing short of brilliant, Survivor initially struggled with performance issues on Xbox Series X|S. In our first impressions, we said that “the game’s woeful performance, annoying bugs, and visual issues hamper the experience.” Respawn has worked to optimize the game better, and has introduced a 60fps performance mode, but it’s still far from perfect, so we’re not entirely convinced that its Xbox One port is going to be a smooth experience, even with the “optimizations aimed at maximizing the hardware capabilities of the consoles” Respawn says it has implementedEither way, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor launches on Xbox One on September 17.
