It’s been a long time coming, but Xbox Series X|S and PC players can finally start unlocking the Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 achievements — check out our Hellblade 2 review to hear our thoughts. To celebrate the occasion, Ninja Theory shared a heartfelt post on social media, which some have read as a goodbye message, but according to recent rumors, Xbox has already greenlit Ninja Theory’s next game.Ninja Theory’s next game has reportedly been greenlit by XboxFollowing the news that Microsoft is closing multiple ZeniMax Studios, Ninja Theory has naturally been called into question due to its smaller size and lengthy development cycles. The concern stems from Microsoft’s decision to close Evil Within developer, Tango Gameworks, which just last year dropped the award-winning Hi-Fi Rush, only to be repaid with a studio closure this year.To celebrate the launch of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Ninja Theory studio head Dom Mathews shared a message on X, thanking fans for their support. The post appears to have been read as a farewell message by some in the Xbox community, but according to reports, Ninja Theory isn’t going anywhere. As reported by Windows Central, “Ninja Theory’s next game has already been greenlit. There are no plans whatsoever to close the studio any time soon.” Whether the new game is Hellblade 3 or not, is anyone’s guess at this point, but it’s good news nonetheless, if true. Of course, Ninja Theory is still working on the mysterious Project Mara, which has had very little publicity since its reveal in 2020 — aside from the gorgeous in-engine look at a realistic apartment. If you fancy diving into Ninja Theory’s latest game, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is now available on Xbox Game Pass.
