Xbox has released a Forza Motorsport Dynamic Background… and it sucks

It’s not long now before early access players will be able to thrash their favorite cars around some of the world’s most famous tracks in Forza Motorsport, but while you wait for either its early access launch or its Game Pass release next week, why not download the new Forza Motorsport Xbox Series X|S Dynamic Background and marvel at its lack of dynamism? As you can see in the video above (or maybe not see as it’s really subtle), the Forza Motorsport Dynamic Background isn’t really that dynamic — much like the recently released Starfield background. There’s a brief lens flare effect that travels across the screen, and the headlights on both cars glow a bit, but that’s it. We would have loved it if maybe there were some tires burning rubber, throwing out plumes of smoke, or something like that. While it’s a bit boring, it’s still nice to get something for free, I suppose, and at least the game is excellent! Check out our thoughts on Turn 10’s latest in our Forza Motorsport review. To set the new Forza Motorsport Dynamic Background on your Xbox Series X|S, head to Settings, Personalization, My background, and then Dynamic backgrounds.Forza Motorsport launches into early access tomorrow, and those who have opted for the Premium Edition or the Premium Add-Ons Bundle will be able to finally start unlocking those sweet Forza Motorsport achievements. For those waiting for Turn 10’s new racing game to hit Game Pass, you’ll have to wait until October 10.
