Following Microsoft’s reinstatement of the $1/£1/€1 Xbox Game Pass trial promotion in July, the company looks to have silently removed it once again. Although it could be unrelated, the promotion’s removal coincidentally comes just over a week before Bethesda’s Starfield launches on Xbox Series X|S, PC, Xbox Game Pass, and PC Game Pass — it’s just one of the many games coming to Game Pass in September.Microsoft seems to have removed the Xbox Game Pass trial againAs reported by XGP, the Microsoft Store no longer offers the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass trials, which only returned in July. Microsoft initially dropped the trial back in March while it looked at “different marketing promotions for new members in the future.” The promotion then returned in July offering the same 30-day trial for $1/£1/€1, before being altered earlier this month to only offer 14 trial days instead of the original 30. Now it looks like the promotion has been removed again. New users looking to check out Xbox Game Pass will need to purchase a full month’s subscription to the service to see what it’s about. Due to the increased Xbox Game Pass prices introduced on August 1, a month of Xbox Game Pass now costs $10.99 / £8.99 / €10.99 per month, while Xbox Game Pass Ultimate costs $16.99 / £12.99 / €14.99 per month. We’re also only weeks away from the end of Xbox Live Gold, which will be replaced by Xbox Game Pass Core on September 14.
