Following its launch on Xbox Game Pass last month, Vampire Survivors-inspired top-down arena shooter roguelite Brotato has crossed over a million downloads across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Game Pass.”One month after its release on Xbox and Game Pass, Brotato has been installed more than A MILLION times,” publisher Seaven Studio announced on X.Leading up to its arrival on Xbox, Brotato was already hot on the lips of players thanks to Xbox boss Phil Spencer championing it on multiple occasions. When it was announced for Xbox Game Pass, Spencer said, “I put a lot of travel hours in last year and my brotato was a constant companion on my handheld PC. Looking forward to more people getting to play.”If you’ve not checked out Brotato yet, it’s a top-down arena shooter roguelite with similar gameplay to the incredible Vampire Survivors. You play as a six-gun-wielding potato attempting to survive against hordes of enemies after crash landing on an alien planet. There are plenty of characters to play and hundreds of weapons to wield as you survive for as long as you can against mounting odds.So far, over 66,000 TrueAchievements members have started unlocking the 83 Brotato achievements — almost 1,900 of which have unlocked them all. It’s estimated to take between 20 to 25 hours for the completion, so it’s not a massive time-sink if you fancy checking it out.In other Xbox Game Pass news, Microsoft has announced the next batch of games to join the service, which includes Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun.
