Microsoft has now confirmed the first batch of games leaving Xbox Game Pass in January 2025. Exoprimal, Insurgency: Sandstorm, Escape Academy, Common’hood, Those Who Remain, and Figment: Journey Into the Mind are the first Game Pass casualties of 2025 and will all leave the service on January 15. Hopefully, the next wave of games coming to Game Pass will make up for the dropouts here. Games leaving Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass in January 2025For those looking for a challenge over the next couple of weeks, Exoprimal is your first port of call. The chaotic multiplayer third-person shooter that pits you and your squad against waves upon waves of ferocious dinosaurs has an achievement completion estimate of 80-100 hours. The majority of this time will be spent grinding out the Cretaceous Eradicator achievement, which requires you to kill a whopping 100,000 dinosaurs. Also on the docket to leave Game Pass on January 15 is New World Intractive’s first-person shooter, Insurgency: Sandstorm. Unlocking all 30 achievements here will take between 15 and 20 hours. At first glance, the 1,000G here looks pretty straightforward, but if you look a little deeper, you’ll see that some achievements need either some skill or a lot of luck to pop. Camel 101’s adventure title, Those Who Remain, can be completed in around ten hours. While the game does only have 14 achievements, 12 have been flagged as missable, so keep an eye out for those during your playthrough. If you’ve got a PC, there is a separate stack of Those Who Remain achievements available. As for Figment: Journey Into the Mind, unlocking all 23 achievements here should only take between six and eight hours. If you’re after a quick Gamerscore boost, Escape Academy’s 1,000G can be earned in under two hours using the Escape Academy walkthrough. That being said, developer Coin Crew Games rolled out a free title update in 2024 that added an extra 500G and made the overall completion harder. Estimates suggest unlocking all 40 Escape Academy achievements will take between seven and ten hours. Finally, we come to Common’hood, which, unfortunately, has three unobtainable achievements and can’t be completed.
