Xbox Game Pass adds one of 2023’s best games in surprise shadow drop

It’s a good day to be a Game Pass subscriber, as two excellent games have just shadow-dropped into the service. In the third-person shooter with souslike mechanics, the world is in chaos after an ancient evil from another dimension invades. It’s up to you as one of the last remnants of humanity to open portals to other realms and realities filled with dangerous enemies and strange beings to uncover the mystery of where this ancient evil has come from. Worlds are dynamically generated, so each run through a reality will be different, and you’ll need to constantly upgrade and find new gear and weapons to stay alive. According to estimates, unlocking all base Remnant: From the Ashes achievements will take between 50 and 60 hours. Sequel Remnant 2 is one of this year’s best games and builds upon everything that made Remnant: From the Ashes a fantastic shooter. It’s a similar setup as the original game; you play as The Survivor, who is tasked with stopping an evil species called The Root from infesting home and the universe. You will again travel to dynamically generated worlds and realities while taking on cunning enemies and enormous bosses for big rewards. For those looking to go for the completion, the base Remnant 2 achievements will take between 60 and 80 hours to unlock.
