There’s a lot to love about Microsoft’s Xbox Elite Series 2 wireless controller: interchangeable thumbsticks with adjustable tension, multiple paddles (also interchangeable), a comfortable rubber grip. There’s also one thing that’s been slightly less loved: a $179.99 price tag that has persisted since its 2019 debut.
As pointed out by Wario64, Lenovo’s online store has an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller deal that substantially assuages that concern. Using the code XBOXELITE at checkout will drop the price down to a much more reasonable $95. That’s a savings of $84.99, or about 47 percent off the MSRP—whichever way you want to math it out, it’s a compelling deal if you were looking for a first-party upgrade.
The Xbox Elite Series 2 controller works both wired (via USB-C cable) and wirelessly (via Xbox Wireless or Bluetooth) for both console and PC. It won’t make you better at Destiny 2. Or Fortnite. Or Elden Ring. Or Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC… but it might make playing feel a little better as you improve.
