Microsoft has announced Clarity Boost, a new feature exclusive to Xbox Cloud Gaming running on Microsoft’s Edge browser. Clarity Boost improves the picture quality of your cloud gaming streams, providing the “optimal look and feel while playing Xbox games from the cloud.” As detailed over on Xbox Wire, Clarity Boost “uses a set of client-side scaling improvements to improve the visual quality of the video stream.” The new feature should make games a little less blurry and make smaller details look sharper on screen. However, as Microsoft points out, this feature is exclusive to the company’s Edge browser, so if you’re using Chrome, Firefox, or another browser, you won’t be able to make use of Clarity Boost. Clarity Boost is available now with Microsoft Edge Canary. Here’s how you can try it as per Microsoft: Download Microsoft Edge Canary using this linkTo confirm you are in Microsoft Edge Canary, navigate to edge://settings/help to make sure you are on version 96.0.1033.0 or later. To enable Clarity Boost, go to www.xbox.com/play, login and start a game Open the more actions (…) menu Select Enable Clarity Boost optionHave you tried out Clarity Boost yet? If you have, let us know your thoughts down in the comments!
