Wuthering Waves Version 1.1: Thaw of Eons descends after the June 28th maintenance. This version update brings much to explore, along with a fresh storyline, bug fixes, new systems, and powerful characters.
Mysteries of Mount Firmament
You’ve got a brand new region: Mount Firmament. This icy peak shrouded in mist is key to Jinzhou’s history and whispers of a time-frozen solid.
It’s said that time itself moves differently on the mountain, making it a land ripe for exploration and brimming with secrets. However, you’ll need to complete some tasks in the main story before setting foot on this mysterious mountain.
New Resonators Alert
Wuthering Waves Version 1.1 introduces two new playable characters, Jinhsi and Changli. Jinhsi, the magistrate of Jinzhou, fights with the grace and power of the heavens, while Changli, the counselor, utilizes fiery techniques that will leave enemies smoldering. These powerful fighters will surely shake up your team compositions.
The version update also includes new events. The new Tactical Simulacra combat event takes you on a special commission with the lovable (and slightly mischievous) Lolo. Also, a new limited-time event called Dreams Ablaze in Darkness will kick off on July 4th. This event will test your skills and teamwork as you battle a challenging new realm.
The Thaw of Eons update introduces two new five-star weapons as well. The Ages of Harvest, a broad blade that carves through time itself, and the Blazing Brilliance, a fiery sword forged from the essence of a legendary bird. These weapons boast unique effects that will make waves in the combat meta.
Quality of Life Improvements and Bug Fixes
The Wuthering Waves crew hasn’t forgotten about making the game smoother. Version 1.1 includes a raft of quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback. Expect more precise descriptions for characters and skills, better enemy distribution in the world, and an improved leveling system.
The developers have also squashed many pesky bugs. The auto lock-on system is also getting an overhaul, so you can focus on unleashing epic combos without fiddling with the controls.
