Black Myth: WuKong is a game you should keep your eye on, especially after its gorgeous new Unreal Engine 5 “Gameplay Test” trailer. Chinese developer Game Science is bringing Journey to the West-inspired mythology to the table in its new single-player RPG. Gematsu initially reported on the 12 minutes of new real-time Unreal Engine 5 gameplay test footage. That being said, this is still a test run of a pre-release game, so anything could happen between now and the game’s launch on an unknown date. All that said, the game looks obscenely good and visually compelling in the new footage. Close-ups of stone carvings, distant shots of banjo-playing snake-men, snow being shaken from an enemy troll-like creature’s shoulder… it looks unreal in a very different sense. The gameplay crops up a little bit and looks like it is still under development, but if you want a more refined version of combat encounters, then we recommend you watch the debut trailer below. The developer seems to be extremely passionate about the project, with their website constantly alluding to deep cuts of the mythos. While we don’t have any exact dates for the game or platforms, we do know that it is on “all mainstream consoles and PC” when it is ready. Will you be keeping your eye on this game? What convinced you? Let us know in the comments!
