Microsoft recently announced that it would be removing Xbox support (and therefore achievements) from all Windows Phone titles in May.We removed our Windows Phone leaderboards from the site some time ago as not many people were unlocking achievements on the platform, and the additional time and processing required to build those leaderboards every day were contributing unnecessarily to the build time of the daily jobs, which in turn slow the site down. However, since the closure announcement, we have seen a healthy rise in the number of people unlocking achievements on the Windows Phone platform, so I have found a way to bring the leaderboards back for the last couple of months of its existence.Leaderboards built weeklyI have created a new leaderboard setting for boards that contain data that doesn’t change very often. For now, I have just set up the Windows Phone and Games for Windows Live platforms to have this setting. These leaderboards will only be built once per week, on a Thursday (this is normally our slowest day for traffic). You can find the main Windows Phone leaderboards here:You can find the main Games for Windows Live leaderboards here:I’ve also updated the leaderboard tracking rows for anyone that was tracking one of these leaderboards before.Have a great weekend!
