It has been a minute since the last time the Auburn Tigers beat the Georgia Bulldogs in football.

While the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry is one of the best games on the SEC schedule annually, the Georgia Bulldogs have had the upper hand on the Auburn Tigers for quite some time.

Though Georgia holds a narrow 61-56-8 lead through 125 games, the Dawgs have won the last four meetings, seven of the last eight, 13 of the last 16 and 15 of the last 22 meetings since 2000. Even if Auburn has not win in Athens since 2005, they have won a few times at Jordan-Hare over the Dawgs in recent years. So when was the last time the Tigers actually beat them in football?

Auburn’s last victory over Georgia was not that long ago, but also not that recently for them either.

Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry: When was the last time Auburn beat Georgia?

Though Georgia has won four straight over Auburn, the Tigers’ last victory over the Dawgs came four years ago. How is that possible? This is because the last time the Tigers beat the Dawgs it was during their annual regular-season date. Auburn crushed Georgia 40-17 on Nov. 11, 2017.

However, Georgia won the rematch in the SEC Championship a few weeks later.

Since winning the 2017 SEC Championship game to go to the College Football Playoff, the Dawgs have beaten the Tigers in their three most recent meetings.

While Auburn kept it close during the 2019 game at Jordan-Hare, the Tigers could not do much of anything offensively in their two most recent losses at Sanford Stadium.

Only the super seniors have seen the Tigers defeat the Dawgs.

While it has been all Dawgs in Athens, the Tigers will occasionally hold their own on The Plains.
