If you’re an oddball like me, you might not care about the largest fish, but instead be more impressed by the Smallest Fish in Fisch. Here, I introduce you to the tiniest swimmer in the sea including their preferences and highest weight!

Smallest Fish In Fisch
The smallest fish in Fisch currently is the humble Sardine. This Ocean Common find ends up in the inventory of players in abundance and is often overlooked for its weak selling price and simple grey design – true to its real-life counterpart.
At its lowest, it weighs in at 0.1 KG, and the largest caught (without mutations) was 0.3 KG. If you want to get your hands on this little buddy, check out its preferences below:
- Location: Ocean
- Time: Day
- Weather: Clear
- Seasons: Spring and Summer
- Bait: Any/No Preference
Or, just go fishing in the Ocean anytime… Since the Sardine is a low rarity, it’s easy to get out of season without any met preferences.
Can We Get Smaller?
Technically, yes. Runners up for the smallest fish (if you consider them that) are the two Shrimp variants the Night Shrimp and standard Shrimp. Whilst both contribute to the bestiary as fish, a shrimp technically isn’t a fish and instead classifies as a crustacean!
Both can be caught using crab cages, and thanks to their common rarity they’re easy to find if you place the cages in the right place.

- Weather: Rain
- Seasons: Spring and Autumn
- Night Shrimp (Common) – 0.1 KG average

Oddly enough, their preferences mirror one another! But similar to the Sardine, you won’t struggle much to get them out of season thanks to their size and low rarity.
