Best Enchant For Each Rod In Fisch
Since each Fishing Rod has unique stats, Enchants aren’t a one-size-fits-all. Whilst each one applies a buff, some are universally good to pull, whilst others fall slack. Let’s get into each Rod and its best Enchant!
Magma Rod – Recommended Enchant: Controlled
The Magma Rod’s sole purpose is to survive the extreme heat of Roslit Volcano. However, the control bar for this Rod makes it tricky to manoeuvre when a fish snags. With the Controlled Enchant, this Rod becomes much easier to wield making the Roslit Volcano Bestiary completion light work.
Fungal Rod – Recommended Enchant: Unbreakable
This quest rod obtained from Mushgrove Swamp has a unique passive where during each catch, you have a 70% chance of triggering a Luck IV Boost for the following 45 seconds. However, the main downside of this Rod is its Flimsy weight allowance capping at 200 KG.
To secure high-rarity (and usually high-weight catches), the Unbreakable Enchant increases the Fungal Rod strength by 10,000 KG.
Aurora Rod – Recommended Enchant: Mutated
Obtained from Vertigo, this Rod has a slim chance to apply the rare Aurora Mutation on caught fish. All fish with this mutation sell for x6.5 more than their standard counterpart. Because of this, the Mutated Enchant is the best since it increases Mutant encounters by 7%!
Kings Rod – Recommended Enchant: Quality or Long
This end-game Rod has generous stats with infinite KG, a large control bar, a 10% size increase to all caught fish and a solid Luck Boost. Its main drawback is the long lure time and shorter line. Because of this, I recommend either the Quality Enchant or Long Enchant to balance it.
Destiny Rod – Recommended Enchant: Resilience, Control or Steady
This Rod has a massive Luck Boost, capping at 250%. However, this comes at the price of its Control and Resilience. To combat this and balance this rod out, I recommend hunting for the Resilience, Controlled or Steady Enchant so that fish aren’t so hard to catch.
Mythical Rod – Recommended Enchant: Quality or Sea King
The Mythical Rod, like the Midas, goes on sale only at the Travelling Merchant boat. Of the two, the Mythical costs more and comes with favourable stats at its higher retail price. I recommend Quality or Sea King for its Enchant as both options alongside the Mythical’s unique ability will grant higher-value and rarer fish.
Reinforced Rod – Recommended Enchant: Resilience
This Rod acts as the better Magma, capable of fishing in both Roslit and the Brine Pools. Whilst its stats aren’t negative standalone, the Brine Pool fish tend to whip rapidly making them hard to catch. So, I recommend the Resilience Enchant to slow them down and make completing the Brine Pool Bestiary easier.
Trident Rod – Recommended Enchant: Controlled
All good Rods come with a price and the Trident is no different, unfortunately. With a low control bar, it’s a no-brainer that this Rod excels with the Control Enchant applied to it which increases the bar size during the catch minigame.
No Life Rod – Recommended Enchant: Any Universally Good Enchants (See Below)
Unlocked at player level 500, this overpowered piece of kit has insane stats and is my pick for the best rod in the game. With no real drawbacks, I think any of the universally good enchants take it to new heights.
Haunted Rod – Recommended Enchant: Mutated
A now unobtainable Rod from the Fischfright Halloween 2024 event. Its stats are pretty well balanced and has the chance to catch the Ghastly and Sinister mutated fish out of season giving it potential for profits. Because of this, I recommend the Mutated Enchant to heighten its encounters by 7%.
Universally Good Enchants
Outside of the specific choices above, pulling any of these Enchants on any Rod is always a good winner to settle for, especially if you don’t want to risk a reroll.
- Blessed
- Mutated
- Divine
- Sea King
- Quality
Pointless Rods To Enchant
Sometimes it’s just not worth wasting a Relic on Rods that have very basic stats. This section will simply list the Rods that I don’t think deserve any Enchantments. Of course, you’re free to disagree and enchant whatever you want…
- Flimsy Rod
- Training Rod
- Plastic Rod
- Carbon Rod
- Long Rod
- Steady Rod
- Rapid Rod
- Lucky Rod
- Fortune Rod
- Nocturnal Rod (Unpopular opinion I know…)
- Magnet Rod
- Midas Rod (Another unpopular opinion probably…)
