DreamHack India, the country’s largest gaming festival, has announced the lineup of competitions that are to take place during its fifth edition this November.
The lineup includes the Snapdragon Pro Series in Call of Duty Mobile, BGMI and VALORANT events, as well as chess and fighting game competitions.
DreamHack India is a major esports and gaming festival in Hyderabad, India. The event is one of the largest gaming events in India. This year, NODWIN Gaming will organise the event during the Hyderabad Comic Con, a large comic book and popular culture festival.
The event will host several esports tournaments with a joint prize pool of INR 45 lakh, or around £41,200. The most notable of the tournaments is the Snapdragon Pro Series Season 6 India. The event will feature six teams and a prize pool of INR 24 lakh (£22,000). Following it are a series of smaller-scale tournaments in various games, including the OMEN Campus Quest Season 2 in VALORANT, PAN FEST in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and others.
The KO Fight Night is a series of fighting game events that will see players compete in Tekken 8, Smash Bros Ultimate and Street Fighter 6. Lastly, there will be a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) event taking place in several PC and mobile games. This includes THE FINALS, Rocket League and Brawhalla for PC and Rocket League Side Swipe, eFootball and World Cricket Championship 3 for mobile devices.
In addition to esports, DreamHack India will also feature competitions in chess, as well as board games such as Monopoly and Ludo and retro competitive games like Tekken, Contra, Pacman and Tetris. All competitions will have prize pools.
