If you love board games or have kids around you, I’m sure you must have heard of the game Everdell. Dire Wolf Digital just dropped a video game based on it called Welcome to Everdell. Priced at $7.99, it’s a city-building game with cute and quirky animal characters.

Welcome To Everdell!

The game takes the charm and strategy of the original Everdell board game. If you haven’t dived into the original, let me fill you in. Everdell is a board game where players build a city of critters and constructions in a fantasy woodland setting. It was created by James A. Wilson and first launched in 2018.

If you’ve played it before, you’ll find Welcome to Everdell familiar yet refreshingly different. This game keeps the spirit of building the most prosperous city in a magical forest. It has the same worker-placement and tableau-building but in a quicker, more accessible way.

So, build the coolest city in Everdell by placing worker and building cards on a game board. Use strategy and make the best moves with the resources you gather. You can play as Chip, Sweep or one of the other adorable critters, scurrying around to create the cutest make-believe city ever.

Drag the cards and meeples around to make the best city. Show off all your designs in a parade judged by the critter king. The art is as beautiful as ever with the day-night animations, almost making you feel like you’re reading a fairy tale visual novel.
