After a week of launches, the MWC 2023 wrapped up and we asked you to pick the best devices in several categories. Here are the winners in last week’s poll.
The Honor Magic5 Pro won the title Best Flagship of the MWC with a wide margin. It managed to edge out the Realme GT3 and Xiaomi 13 Pro, which were nearly tied for second place. The vanilla Magic5 wasn’t nearly as popular, but it was well ahead of the vanilla Xiaomi 13.
The Tecno Phantom V Fold pulled off a surprising victory for the Best Foldable of the MWC. Its opponent, the Honor Magic Vs, held the lead for a few days before Tecno’s first foldable jumped ahead. Still, Honor’s global lineup is looking quite promising with the Magic5 Pro and Magic Vs expanding to multiple markets.
vivo won the Best Mid-Ranger segment with the V27 Pro and even grabbed second place too with the vanilla V27, which beat out the Xiaomi 13 Lite. Judging by the comment section, Xiaomi needs to do some soul-searching and reconsider its pricing – though this probably applies to the flagships more than the Lite model.
Finally, TCL swept the competition in the Best Entry-Level segment as it secured the Top 3 with the TCL 40 XL, 40 X and 40 XE. This is an interesting result as the TCL 40-series will be available in the US, a market starved for cheap phones. But it was the 4G-only XL model that came out on top, the 5G-connected X and XE were left slightly behind.
Of the other competitors, the vivo V27e showed promise as did the Nokia G22.
