CD Projekt Red president Adam Kiciński believes “in the long run” that Cyberpunk 2077 “will be perceived as a very good game, and like our other titles, it will sell for years.”In an interview with Rzeczpospolita (via VGC), Kiciński says, “We believe that in the long run Cyberpunk 2077 will be perceived as a very good game, and like our other titles, it will sell for years — especially as the hardware gets more powerful over time and we improve the game.”The launch of Cyberpunk 2077 was troubled to say the least, and Kiciński notes this, adding, “We’re proud of many aspects of the game, but as we know, not everything went our way. Nevertheless, the brand awareness of Cyberpunk that we’ve managed to build is huge, and the game universe, its characters and details have fans all over the world… We’re working on updates all the time, and we’re also working on a version for the latest generation of consoles. Of course, the original release taught us a lot. It gave us a kick and motivated us to make changes that will make us better in the future.”CDPR has already spoken of its plans to improve the game — earlier in the year CDPR said Cyberpunk 2077’s performance and stability were now at a “satisfying level,” and there are plans for more patches and updates for the game — although the last we heard was that these free updates and DLC had been delayed to 2022.What do you think of Kiciński’s comments? Will Cyberpunk’s patches and DLC help it to sell for years? Let us know what you think in the comments!
