Unveiled during the virtual RTX at Home 2021 event, WayForward is teaming up with Rooster Teeth and Arc System Works to release RWBY: Arrowfell next year.
This 2D side-scrolling action-adventure title is based on the animated RWBY series and is set during the events of RWBY Volume 7. Written by Kerry Shawcross, Miles Luna, and Eddy Rivas, players can switch between Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long on the fly. The Creatures of Grimm and other enemies stand in the way of Team RWBY, but they are able to fight back with their trademark weapons and semblances.
Atlas, Mantle, and numerous surrounding environments can all be explored either solo or in multiplayer, and familiar faces like General Ironwood and the Ace Operatives will cross their path.

According to Rooster Teeth Senior Writer Kerry Shawcross:
“I am beyond excited to finally share details around our new video game, RWBY: Arrowfell. This is a match made in Remnant! Rooster Teeth, WayForward, and Arc System Works are mutual fans of one another, so this is truly a dream come true for all of us. I’ve always thought a RWBY game in this vein would be perfect and it’s so incredible to see it come to life. We hope fans are as thrilled as we are when this all-new action-adventure releases next year. Believe me, it will be worth the wait!”
The game will come out for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
