Techtober is in full swing and it’s Google’s turn to show out its latest device portfolio today. The Made by Google keynote will mark the launch of the Pixel 8 series alongside the Pixel Watch 2 and Android 14. Google is kicking things off at 10AM ET time (2PM UTC) and as usual, you can tune in to the launch via the embedded livestream below.
Google is notoriously bad at keeping its new Pixel phones under wraps and we got tons of leaks giving away virtually everything there is to know about the new phones. The vanilla Pixel 8 is expected to bring a 6.17-inch OLED screen with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz screen, and the same cameras as its predecessor.
Pixel 8 Pro is expected to launch with a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED screen with QHD+ resolution and a 1-120Hz refresh rate. The back will feature a 50MP main camera alongside a 48MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom and a new 48 MP ultrawide camera. Both new phones are getting the new Tensor G3 chipset with 8GB RAM on the Pixel 8 and 12GB on the 8 Pro. The bigger Pixel is also rumored to gain an infrared thermometer.

Based on rumors, Pixel 8 will start at $700/£700/€800 while the Pro model may go for $900/£1,000/€1,100 but we’ll know for sure after the event concludes.
Pixel Watch 2 is expected to retain the round design of last year’s model but with an updated Qualcomm Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 platform and Ultra-wideband (UWB) connectivity.
