Portugal looks to punch their ticket to the knockout stage when they take on Germany on Saturday in Munich. Here’s what to know before tuning in.

Portugal and Germany face off on Saturday at the Allianz Arena in Munich in what is expected to be highlighted by the offensive prowess of both teams.

On one side is 36-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, fresh off breaking the all-time goals record in Euros history. On the other side is Germany’s veteran attacking midfielder Thomas Muller.

The defending European champions are in the driver’s seat entering the match. A win and they advance to the last-16. Germany, meanwhile, after a 1-0 defeat to France would be eliminated from Group F with another loss.

Playing with Serge Gnabry as a striker and Kai Havertz and Mueller on the wings has yet to yield positive returns.

“Germany are missing their punch, they are taking too few risks. There is too little activity in attack,” 2014 World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger told Reuters.

Portugal, on the other hand, is coming off a 3-0 win against Hungary as Ronaldo scored a brace. He is now just three away from tying Iran striker Ali Daei’s all-time men’s international scoring record of 109 goals.

Ronaldo, who has won the Ballon d’Or as the world’s best player five times, led Portugal to the Euro ’16 title, scoring three goals at that edition that culminated with the trophy.
