Los Angeles Dodgers fans went crazy as pitcher Julio Urias hit a stand-up double over the right field wall on Tuesday night.
Pitchers are having an exceptional year on the mound and at the plate in the 2021 MLB season. Los Angeles Dodgers star Julio Urias is the latest in a line of hurlers to show off their hitting power.
Urias sent a ball deep into right field that bounced into the seats for a stand-up double and his eighth RBI of the season. Needless to say, Dodger Stadium went wild.

Urias’ double put the Dodgers up 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth inning. Remarkably, all eight of Urias’ RBI have come in his past five starts, an incredible stretch for the lefty. The pitcher was 9-2 in 13 starts so far this year, tied with Cleveland’s Aaron Civale for most wins in the majors.
Urias was a key component of the Dodgers’ 2020 World Series victory. With his recent play on the mound and in the batter’s box, he’s proving himself to be invaluable to Los Angeles’ quest for a repeat.
