In one of the best Copa America matchups of the week, Argentina and Uruguay are all set to face off on Friday evening in Brazil.
With the Copa America already delivering soccer fans with some outstanding showdowns, you can add a big one to the list for Friday evening. That’s because powerhouses Argentina and Uruguay are ready to do battle.
Argentina is of course led by the Lionel Messi. The superstar scored a sensational free-kick goal in Argentina’s first meeting of the tournament. Unfortunately for the Argentinian side, Chile was able to even things up in the second half to record a 1-1 draw.
Meanwhile for Uruguay, they are all set to make their Copa America debut. All eyes will be on Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani to see if the two team legends can help Uruguay record an upset win here. Messi knows the pressure will be on him, though, so we’ll see if he can power his side to a needed victory.
