Call of Duty: Warzone 2’s map has seemingly leaked via a reliable insider. The leak details all of the map’s various points of interest (POIs) and mentions that Warzone 2 will allow players to swim in the battle royale game.According to a report from Tom Henderson over at Try Hard Guides, Warzone 2’s map will feature 18 different points of interest. The image from Henderson below gives us an idea of what we’ll be dropping into, with built-up areas being shown in grey, elevated areas in dark brown, and water in blue. Much like Warzone’s original map, Verdansk, there is a railway track that routes around the majority of the different POIs. Henderson also notes that the map “seems bigger than that of Verdansk and Caldera.”Credit: Tom Henderson/Try Hard GuidesWarzone 2 will add a swimming mechanicHenderson has also revealed that Warzone 2 will allow players to swim in the battle royale game for the first time. A new swimming mechanic will feature in Warzone 2, which is probably a good thing considering just how much water there is on the map. It’s believed that Warzone 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s rumoured DMZ mode (a mode that will be similar in scope to the extraction-style gameplay of Escape From Tarkov) will share the same map. Henderson says that the full map won’t be available for the DMZ mode, just smaller portions of it that will be “playable as sub-levels.”Activision and Infinity Ward recently announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will launch in October. Since then, we’ve seen another leak that details Modern Warfare 2’s various editions, pre-order bonuses, and a PlayStation-first open beta. What do you make of the leak? How are you finding Warzone’s current map Caldera? Give us your thoughts down in the comments.
