Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Will Be PS5 Pro Enhanced After Next Month’s Update

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 has surpassed 5 million players since launch, developer Saber Interactive and publisher Focus Entertainment announced today.On top of that, the studios announced that Space Marine 2 will be getting support for PS5 Pro modes, with a bump in resolution for its quality mode and performance mode, which means it’ll be another addition to the list of PS5 Pro Enhanced games.Players checking out Space Marine 2 on standard PS5’s currently have two visual modes available to them, a quality and a performance mode.On standard PS5’s, the quality mode runs at 30 FPS with a native resolution between 1080p-1440p that is then upscaled to 4K. The performance mode runs at 60 FPS, while being upscaled to 4K from a native resolution that’s between 720p-1080p.However on PS5 Pro, the quality mode will have a native resolution between 1080p-2160p while being upscaled to a solid 4K through PSSR. It’ll still however run at 30 FPS.The performance mode will run at 60 FPS, but the native resolution on PS5 Pro is bumped to be between 1080p-1440p.There’s no release date set for this update which is listed as Patch 5.0, but it is said to arrive “in the first half of December,” so that could mean as soon as next week or as late as two weeks from now.Perhaps it’ll be a shadow-drop at The Game Awards.
