The most recent Warcraft Rumble Patch Note includes a lot of nerf and balance changes. We know you want to learn more about them, so let’s dive in.
After covering the Warcraft Rumble Patch Notes from a few days ago, it became clear that Blizzard had another surprise up their sleeve. The Warcraft Rumble patch can be downloaded inside the game itself, meaning you do not have to go to the App Store to get it. Even though it does not include any PvP crashing changes, there are a lot of things to talk about, so let’s dive in.
Warcraft Rumble Patch Note – Overall Changes
The idea of this Warcraft Rumble Update was to balance some of the talents and minis. According to the dev team, the changes were added prior to the PvP crash and matchmaking issues that players have discovered. In other words, this is NOT the update that will give us access to the PVP fix yet, but the good news is that the team is aware and is doing everything it can to fix the problem.
PvP Changes
I won’t go over the complete Warcraft Rumble Patch Notes again because I’ve already done it in our previous article. However, when it comes down to the PVP changes, there are a lot of things I want to say.
The fact that Rocket Tower’s damage is now siege will have an impact on the PvP Scene. But what I discovered while playing Warcraft Rumble is that this change is also present in PvE. Also, my tests have shown that the Rocket Tower damage is now physical, not elemental. In other words, you can actually tank the towers with Quilboar and Fire elementals, something that was not a good idea before.
As for the Treasure Chest, I am happy to see that the bug where people could attack it with spells is no longer a thing. A lot of people used to do this and “abused” the PVP system. In fact, this is one of the reasons why a lot of people have suddenly started adding different spells in their Warcraft Rumble decks.
Troop Changes
One thing that we’ve noticed in the Warcraft Rumble patch notes is that there are changes to two specific troops. One of them is Chimaera, a unit that has not been as popular as I thought it would be. Following the update, its HP is slightly up from before, but the 10 HP difference does not seem like it will make that big of a difference. That said, the unit may survive for one extra attack against certain opponents.
What I was impressed with from the Warcrafgt Rumble Patch Notes regarding the troop changes were the S.A.F.E. Pilot nerfs. The latter’s initial crash explosion damage is down from 250 to 220, which probably does not seem a lot. However, it is a significant change because it will make this unit a lot less effective than before. Considering that S.A.F.E. Pilot is a key part of pretty much every Warcraft Rumble deck right now, these changes matter. I will discuss the other SAFE Pilot Warcraft Runble nerf when I talk about the talent changes
Talent Changes
Another new thing in the Warcraft Rumble patch is several talent changes. There are a couple of things I want to include here, starting with the Quilboar update. Following the added 0.5 delay between the procs, this tank will no longer be able to kill Sneed right away. Also, while talking about the unit, it received another beef because the changes to Rocket Tower meant that his resistance would no longer work against the tower. In other words, Quilboar is just not as strong as before.
Regarding SAFE Pilot, the unit is nerfed a lot. Besides what I’ve mentioned earlier in my Warcraft Rumble Patch Note point, the unit also gets 2 additional talent changes. The first one to Claocking Device. This talent has been removed from the game, meaning that there won’t be any damage multiplier when attacking from stealth. Comin’ In Hot also got nerfed because it reduces the initial crash damage by 33% or 145 instead of 220.
These talent changes are huge, and they will make SAFE Pilot a lot weaker than before. The impact will no longer be able to kill the squishy units, which means that I expect to see changes in the Warcraft Rumble Tier List.
Something to keep in mind following the S.A.F.E. Pilot changes is that the unit can no longer kill Banshee on the crash. The same applies to Necromancers and Harpies. This is huge because people almost always relied on this unit.
Following my test and the Warcraft Rumble Patch Notes, I can confirm that the S.A.F.E. Pilot is not as strong as before. This, however, does not mean the unit is that bad. On the contrary, it can still do a good job, as long as it is at the same level as the other units it is targeting.
Conclusion
It is no surprise that the entire Warcraft Rumble community is waiting for the PVP fixes. I will keep an eye on everything new and let you know once it becomes available. Considering the most recent changes, I expect a lot of teams that relied on SAFE Pilot to change their drafts.
Speaking of drafts, don’t forget to check the best Emperor Thaurissan PVP build and use it to punish your opponents.
