Vince Velasquez savages fan for calling him pathetic at Fenway Park

Philadelphia Phillies hurler Vince Velasquez was furious with a fan who called him pathetic outside of Fenway Park.

It wasn’t the trip to Boston that Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Vince Velasquez was hoping for. The veteran hurler took the bump on Friday against the Red Sox, but he got absolutely lit up in the showing.

On the night, Velasquez lasted just 2.1 innings, allowing six hits and eight earned runs. Philadelphia lost that one, as you might have been able to guess. To make things worse for Velazques, a fan decided to troll him and call him pathetic over the weekend. He wasn’t going to just sit back and take it, however.

Vince Velasquez put a fan in his place after he was insulted at Fenway Park

As you can see in the clip above, Velasquez was furious with the fan and even fired back an insult his way. It’s one thing to have a terrible outing and record a loss, but to have some random dude troll you while you’re hopping on the team bus is another.

All in all, it’s been a frustrating first half of the season for the Phillies. Entering Sunday’s showdown, the club was 43-44. They entered 2021 with some big-time expectations, but they’ve failed to live up to them.

The same can be said for Velasquez. Following the loss on Friday night, the righty is now 3-4 on the year with a concerning 5.35 ERA. He’ll need to step his game up after the All-Star break. Otherwise, more trolling could be coming his way.

With that said, Velasquez basically let everyone know that he’s not going to put up with fans talking smack. Should you decide to do so, he won’t hesitate in letting you know exactly what’s on his mind.
