Vanguard getting exclusive content on PlayStation for a year

Activision is, once again, leaving Xbox users out in the cold with this year’s Call of Duty, as PlayStation players will be getting “exclusive benefits” and bonus content with Call of Duty: Vanguard. Yesterday, Activision dropped a new story trailer for Vanguard, which goes into more detail about the characters we’ll be playing as and the game’s villain. Trailers were released for different platforms, with the PlayStation trailer revealing that PS4 and PS5 players will be getting some “exclusive benefits” and content that won’t be available on other platforms until November 1st, 2022 — almost a year after Vanguard launches. Of course, if you’re an Xbox Call of Duty player, this news probably doesn’t come as much of a surprise. Activision has done this with both Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s Spec Ops Survival mode and Black Ops Cold War’s Onslaught Zombies mode. The publisher hasn’t detailed what exactly this exclusive bonus content is, but by looking at previous entries into the franchise, we can probably expect a similar multiplayer mode to be exclusive to Sony’s platform and maybe a few skins. Once we find out what this mode is, we’ll update you. Call of Duty: Vanguard launches on November 5th.
