Valve today finally launched its portable Steam Deck console. The device is now available for order to the first batch of reservers, who will be getting an email with ordering details.

Potential buyers who reserved the device will have 72 hours to complete their purchase after receiving the email, or they can cancel their reservation. The next batch of emails will be sent next week.

Valve also released a mini-game called Aperture Desk Job. Set in the Portal universe, the game is designed to walk you through the controls and features of the Steam Deck. However, while it is designed for the Steam Deck, it will also be available to download to anyone with a Windows PC and a controller.

This mini-game will be free to download for all Steam users and will be available March 1.

Meanwhile, over on the Steam site, Valve has also created a page called Great on Deck to showcase games that work well on the Steam Deck hardware. Some of the noteworthy titles include Elden Ring, Horizon Zero Dawn, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Stardew Valley, Hades, Terraria, Shadow Warrior 2, and more.

These games supposedly pass all compatibility checks and is said to be a “great experience” on the Steam Deck.

The Steam Deck is priced at $399 for the 64GB model, $529 for the 256GB model, and $649 for the 512GB model.
