Valorant Patch 8.04 is here, and we finally have a shift in the meta that was here for a while. With tournaments like the VCT 2024 Masters Madrid, players are eager to see which are the best Valorant agents to get in the current meta.
Our team has spent a lot of hours going through the patch notes and checking each agent. We also played countless games where we tried out a lot of different tactics before coming up with the best options. So, let’s start our Valorant Agent Tier List.
Valorant Agent Tier List – Patch 8.04
Instead of revealing each role individually, our Valorant Tier List will include details about all of them. The rankings here are subjective, and we would like to start with the best options right now.
Valorant Agent Tier List D-Tier
From our observation, Deadlock is a Valorant agent that looks strong on maps, such as Icebox. He is pretty good there, and a lot of pro players also use him, but he is just not the most consistent Sentinel in the meta.
Sage is another name that is present on his Valorant Tier List for several reasons. While it’s true that her PUB win rate is not that bad, the agent is just not that strong on most maps in the pool. This is one of the reasons for her low win rate.
Neon is one of those agents in this Valorant Tier List that can also be in D-Tier because he is only really good on Fracture. The latter is her best map, but the bad news is that it is not available right now. In other words, it becomes really hard to justify picking Neon in the current meta. There are other Duelists that do a much better job.
Valorant Agent Tier List C-Tier

Phoenix is also a name that some of you believe should be in the D-tier in the Valorant Agent Tier List. This agent works on some maps because of her ability to get his ult faster than usual. On top of that, his ultimate is probably one of the best in the game.
Sadly, this is another agent that can be countered pretty easily, So we’ve placed her here.
Despite the different buffs to Chamber in Valorant Patch 8.03 he does not seem that strong right now when compared to other sentinels. Sure, you can often see him in play, but agents like Cypher are just better overall.
Another name we want to mention in this Valorant Agents tier list is Yoru. We feel like the character is good, but only if you know the hero inside and out. Players who pick Yoru when they don’t have anything else to play should stay away because he is not ideal in the meta.
Harbor can be a solid controller to get, especially if you decide to use him in a double-controller setup. However, we think he should be in the C-Tier because he is not useful outside this combo.
Valorant Tier List B-Tier
While talking about the Valorant Agent tier list, the first name on the B-tier is Astra. She is also a good option for a double-controller setup, and she is also great on Split. The data shows that she is among the best on it, but it seems like she is not doing that well on other maps.
Fade is one of those Valorant Agents that works great on Lotus, for example. She is a solid agent to get but is not that good against the current utility that players have to deal with. Therefore, she deserves to be in the B-tier.
Brimstone is one of the best agents in Valorant in Bind, but he is not that good elsewhere. We have tried using him on other maps but have not gotten the same results. Therefore, he is on the B-tier of our Valorant Tier List.
Valorant Tier List A-Tier

Breach is one of the options that a lot of people use in a variety of situations. The agent is great for taking space and performing setups with other agents, such as Duelists. That said, he is not the most consistent pick right now, so don’t be surprised if some people place him lower on their tier lists.
Gekko basically replaced Skye as one of the most popular initiators in Valorant and for a good reason. The hero is great and works well in both ranked and professional matches.
Speaking of Skye, she continues to be one of the best on maps like Bind and Split. The reason why she is so high on our Valorant agent tier list is because of her amazing utility. She’s an excellent Initiator to get in the current meta.
In terms of Kayo, he has always been one of the top Valorant meta picks, especially on Ascend. The agent also works on most other maps, and he is probably one of the best pro picks you can get. Regarding ranked games, he is not that easy to master, which is why his win rate may seem a bit lower.
If you are looking for a good overall Sentinel, Killjoy is for you. She works well on most maps, even though she is nowhere near as strong as before.
Sova is good on some maps because he is strong against Cypher’s traps. Considering the latter is one of the best in the current meta, it’s no surprise he is a solid pick.
There’s not much to say about Jett, as she’s one of the best overall duelists. No wonder she is always high on almost every Valorant Tier List.
Valorant Agent Tier List S-Tier
After mentioning him a few times, it’s finally time to address the elephant in the room. We strongly believe this is one of the best in the current meta, and he is the one who dictates it. Cypher works on every map, and he is on another level.
When talking about the Valorant Agents Tier List, we need to mention Raze. She is one of the best duelists right now you can have on Split, Bind and pretty much every other map.
Omen is another big name you will find on almost all maps, and for a good reason. The agent is great, has amazing utility, and is more dangerous than ever. Don’t forget he is one of the best lurkers in the game.
The last name on our Valorant Tier List S-Tier is Viper. She was not that good in the previous metas, but her current pick rate is insane. She is picked on literally every map in a variety of combos, including with duo controllers. We really expect Riot Games to nerf this agent in the next patch.
