A new episode always brings meta-changing features and the Valorant 3.0 update is no different.

Valorant’s patch 3.0 will mark the beginning of Episode 3 and will be one of the biggest updates the game has ever received. The upcoming update will bring weapon price changes, adjustments to the credit requirement, and a brand new agent KAY/O. In addition to this, Riot will instate a major rank reset to make the game fairer for all the players. Here is a glimpse of the known upcoming changes in the Valorant Episode 3 Act 1 “Reflection.”

New Agent: KAY/O

Valorant agent KAY/O holds a rifle at its hip with the Valorant logo in red on a dark background.

KAY/O is the new agent releasing into the game and is introducing some new mechanics. He’s an Initiator robotic agent who has the ability to disable the enemy team’s abilities by using his ultimate, and if he gets knocked down, he can be revived by any agent. He’s the first agent to utilize a suppression mechanic, which makes enemies affected unable to use their own abilities. Between the revive and suppression, he’s truly bringing a lot to the table and pushing the boundaries of the game.

Weapon Price Changes

Prices of almost every weapon will be changed after Valorant 3.0 update, and most of them will see a decrease in price. This includes the Operator, which will now cost 300 credits less than the before, meaning you will now be able to buy it a lot earlier than before if you manage your economy wisely.

However, on the other hand, players who love to dominate with the Judge have bad news coming, as its cost will be increased by 250 credits. These weapon price changes will prove to be a game-changer, so here is the complete list of the new weapon prices:

  • Ares: 1600 Credits to 1550 Credits
  • Bucky: 900 Credits to 850 Credits
  • Bulldog: 2100 Credits to 2050 Credits

Agent balance changes

Along with the changes in the weapon prices, Riot will be making adjustments to almost every agent, including the costs of their abilities and/or ultimate points to balance them out.
