UrbanV and Cluster2 sign partnership to boost advanced AAM in Saudi Arabia – sUAS News

UrbanV, the Italian vertiport network operator and Cluster2, an airport operator managing 22 airports across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, are signing partnership to develop Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) in Saudi Arabia.

Rome, November, 2024 – The two leaders in their respective fields will cooperate to support and build the Advanced Air Mobility ecosystem in Cluster2’s Airport network, in preparation for commercial operations in Saudi Arabia.

On another note, the two companies will conduct comprehensive feasibility studies to implement (AAM) solutions at airports managed by Cluster2 Airports, while ensuring compliance with the regulations of the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, safety standards and environmental sustainability goals.

The partnership also includes UrbanV transferring its expertise in advanced ai mobility (AAM) , in addition to providing training programs and technical knowledge, and cooperating with relevant parties.

Furthermore, the companies will launch initial pilot programs for the introduction of eVTOL services for targeted applications such as medical emergencies, VIP transport, and cargo logistics. These programs will act as proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate the operational integration of AAM in real-world conditions.

Both companies are committed with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and its broader sustainability goals, including the use of zero-emission EVTOL vehicles and environmentally sustainable vertiport design.Carlo Tursi, CEO at UrbanV, said: “At UrbanV, we aim to improve people’s lives by enabling a fast, efficient, safe, and clean alternative to existing transport solutions for people and goods over short distances, by air.
