Tom Clancy’s The Division: Heartland is a standalone title that was born out of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, a survival-action game that sets players in the ‘heartland’ of the U.S, in Silver Creek.Small snippets of gameplay where shown in between developer interviews about the new game, a new narrative adventure within the world of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.You can check out the trailer, and interview with Keith Evans, creative director of Tom Clancy’s The Division: Heartlands here.Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland is being developed by Red Storm Entertainment, a studio which has been with The Division franchise since before the first title launched, working on the first and second game, before creating something new with Heartland.Days before today’s Ubisoft Forward showcase, plenty of details around the game leaked out after a store page went live early, and a few of those details were confirmed today.It will in fact be a free-to-play title, focused on survival gameplay while also defending Silver Creek from rogue agents, a deadly contamination, and different enemy factions.Hopefully it isn’t too long until we hear more.Source – [Ubisoft]
