Insider Tom Henderson has claimed in an appearance on the Xbox Two + One Podcast that Ubisoft is planning an Assassin’s Creed every six months or so, and has reiterated that the studio is working on an Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag remake.Discussing Ubisoft’s upcoming slate, which also includes multiple Far Cry projects that haven’t been officially announced yet, Henderson revealed that the publisher has a firm plan in place for Assassin’s Creed over the next decade. It isn’t clear if he means release a new game every six months or simply begin working on a project, as a new game every six months for 10 years seems like a huge undertaking. They’ve got Assassin’s Creed Shadows, they’ve also got Assassin’s Creed Invictus next year, Assassin’s Creed Hexe, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag remake, and they plan to do a new Assassin’s Creed every six months or so for the next ten years, I believe.Henderson reported earlier this month that Ubisoft has no less than 10 Assassin’s Creed games in store for the next five years, including the rumoured Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Remake. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the next chapter in the series, and was recently delayed from its November launch to February 14, 2024.Ubisoft recently commented that it feels confident the game will make its new release date, so hopefully there won’t be any more delays for the game. Reportedly, the decision to delay Shadows came down to concerns over its historical accuracy as well as a lack of polish.[Source – Xbox Two + One Podcast via PSLS]
