Ubisoft is reportedly planning a big showcase event that will reveal an unannounced Prince of Persia game and an Immortals Fenyx Rising sequel. According to a new report from Xfire’s Tom Henderson, Ubisoft has around 20 games that are due announcements of some kind “in the near future.” Several sources have told him that the publisher has been prepping a special showcase for some time now, with it supposedly due to take place ahead of this year’s so-far-unconfirmed E3. However, Henderson says this has now seemingly been put on hold due to recent world events. One of the new titles that will be announced, according to the report, is a new 2.5D Prince of Persia game that’s reportedly in development with Ubisoft Montpellier and is said to be taking inspiration from Moon Studios’ Ori games. Another game reportedly in the works is a sequel to 2020’s Immortals Fenyx Rising. Henderson says that Ubisoft was pleased with the performance of the action-adventure game and that a sequel is currently in pre-production. The report also mentions several titles previously announced by Ubisoft, including The Division Heartland, Skull & Bones, Assassin’s Creed Infinity, and more.Of course, with all reports like this, it’s worth taking this information with a hefty pinch of salt until Ubisoft makes official announcements. Since 2020, Ubisoft has held two separate Ubisoft Forward digital events that were deemed a success by the company. It is yet to announce its plans for a similar showcase this year. What do you make of the report? Would you like to see a 2.5D Prince of Persia game or an Immortals Fenyx Rising sequel? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments.
