Building an efficient Tycoon takes more than just placing down high-rarity equipment. My Tycoon RNG Vulnerable Guide tells you what this tag means and how to let units with vulnerability occupy space in your plot.

Tycoon RNG Vulnerable Guide
Vulnerability tags different equipment pieces, and it is an important feature to keep an eye on if you want to build an efficient Tycoon. Droppers, Upgraders and your Selling Tile could have vulnerability to certain traits such as elemental or timed.
What this means is that an Ore which travels through this equipment piece picks up a vulnerability, and if it comes into contact with an Upgrader that applies the trait it’s vulnerable to it will destroy your Ore, lowering your Tycoon efficiency as a consequence.
Vulnerability Tags
Let’s get into each Vulnerability tag.
- Fire Vulnerable – Elemental
- Polished Vulnerable – Elemental
- Wet Vulnerable – Elemental
- Putrid Vulnerable – Elemental
- Fuel Vulnerable – Elemental
- Acid Vulnerable – Elemental
- Magnetic Vulnerable – Elemental
- Air Vulnerable – Elemental
- Timed Vulnerable – This is the only non-elemental vulnerability. If an Ore collects this vulnerability it typically has a few seconds before it becomes destroyed.
How To Avoid Vulnerability
Truthfully, you don’t need to avoid vulnerability but adapt to it instead. For example, you may have an Upgrader which applies the Timed Vulnerability lasting 5 seconds which also has a massive Ore multiplier attached. Rather than not placing this item, drop it close to your selling tile so that the Ores sell before they become destroyed.
Another great example which I can talk about from experience is Fire Vulnerability. My current Tycoon build tends to add Wet multipliers to my Ores which in turn makes them Fire Vulnerable. For damage control and minimising income loss, I haven’t placed any Upgraders or Droppers which have the Fire Trait.
It’s good practice to read each equipment description before planning where it fits in your Tycoon. As a rule of thumb, just because something has a rarer drop chance than your current set-up doesn’t mean it will be healthier for your Tycoon and income overall.
