The ladies of WayForward and Arc System Works’ River City Girls are hitting the streets again in two new titles: River City Girls 2 and River City Girls Zero.
River City Girls 2 picks up shortly after the original title (you can read our review of that here). Misako and Kyoko once again take the spotlight, joined by Kunio, Riki, and other characters this time around. New moves, new enemies, new recruits, new environments, and an old foe await, along with two-player co-op both locally and online. The game will come out for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2022.
Meanwhile, River City Girls Zero is a localized version of the 1994 Super Famicom game for a new generation. Included in this release is a new opening cinematic, new manga cutscenes, and a new theme song by River City Girls composer Megan McDuffee.
Both River City Girls 2 and River City Girls Zero will have physical releases from Limited Run Games.
