Last month, bookmaker 1win concluded its second Dota 2 esports event of the year with Team Spirit walking away with $50,000 (~£39,500) as 1Win Series Dota 2 Summer champions.

The four-day online event featured an overall prize pool of $100,000 (~£78,000) and teams such as Gamin Gladiators, last edition’s champions Entity and 1Win’s own esports division. Throughout the event, there were surprising match-ups, stand-out performances and interesting hero selections.

As a result, 1win has provided a range of interesting statistics that paint a greater picture of the event. This ranges from the most used hero, the longest game at the event and 1win Series Dota 2 Summer’s top player.

Alongside Team Spirit claiming $50,000, Gaimin Gladiators placed second and garnered $30,000. Placing third and fourth were Entity and 1win, both of which walked away with $15,00 and $5,000, respectively. Gaimin Gladiators and Team Spirit are currently competing in the Riyahd Masters at the Esports World Cup.

1win is one of several betting companies that have invested heavily in esports over the past few years. Russian bookmaker Betboom owns its own esports division, while betting companies Pinnacle, Rivalry and Thunderpick have all hosted major esports activations in the past.
